The Northern B District is located in the North of Kagera Region, extending up to Uganda border. The headquarters of the church district are in Kashozi Bunazi which includes also the headquarters of Missenye Division and Missenye District.

The Northern B District is led by the District Pastor.

The staff includes five parish pastors, two sisters, a deacon, one district secretary, one night watchman, 36 evangelists, one women and children leader, one youth leader and a stewardship leader.

Northern B District was officially inaugurated in 1984, comprised of three parishes, Kyaka, Missenye (Kashozi) and Ngando. Later on in 1991 the parish of Minziro was officially opened. And on 25 January 2009 the parish Bugango was inaugurated. Up to now there are five parishes in Northern B district.

Daily tasks include education, building, rehabilitation, economy and development and aims to achieve the following goals:

• Evangelization
• Ensure the stability of women, children and youth groups
• Environmental conservation

In its work the Northern B district is supported by its partner from Germany, the church district of Lüdenscheid – Plettenberg. This collaboration started in 1984. In 2004 was the 20 years jubilee celebration of the partnership, in the two districts.

During these years the following has been achieved:

• Exchange program and visiting each other every second year. Up to 2009, about 35 people from both partners have made their trips.
• Communication through letters, e-mails, SMS, etc.
• Sending and receiving gifts, personally and officially.
• Construction of the church buildings, rain water harvesting tanks, staff quarters, electricity installation.
• Assistance with transport facilities – vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles.
• Assistance with hospital equipment at Igayaza and Bugango dispensaries.
• Accumulation and sustainability of Poor Patients Fund (PPF) at Igayaza and Bugango dispensaries.
• Training of evangelists
• Sustain student’s sponsorship through MOSS program.
• Environmental conservation of Bunazi and Minziro secondary schools

The Northern District B aims to attain several long term goals such as improvement in evangelism and diaconal work, construction of permanent church buildings in all 35 congregations, ensuring all evangelists have attended a two years course at Ruhija Bible School, construction of the church district centre at the district headquarters and planting 20’000 trees.
